um, am, im
Three little words carry most everyday time statements: um + clock time, am + day or part of the day, im + month or season. Get these three right and many of your sentences about time build themselves.

Tip
Exception: in der Nacht. And the -s adverbs need no preposition at all: morgens, abends, samstags.
