Geh geradeaus! — the imperative with du

With one friend, use the du imperative: Geh geradeaus! Nimm den Bus!

Dropping du and -st is a useful starting point for many verbs. Keep the e→i change in nimm!, but remove the a→ä umlaut: Fahr langsam! Some verbs need an -e, such as Arbeite!, and sein is irregular: Sei! Learn the form with the verb.
