weil vs. denn

Both mean because — but they build different sentences. denn changes nothing: the verb stays in second position, Ich bleibe zu Hause, denn ich bin krank. weil sends it to the end. Mixing the two orders is the number-one A2 word-order mistake.

weil vs. denn
weil → Verb ans Ende denn → Verb bleibt
Ich bleibe zu Hause, weil ich krank bin. Ich bleibe zu Hause, denn ich bin krank.
