Reflexive verbs: wir treffen uns
Many everyday verbs come with a small pronoun that points back at the subject: Ich treffe mich mit Freunden. Wir treffen uns am Samstag. In these examples, the pronoun follows the conjugated verb; in the question below, it follows the subject: Triffst du dich oft mit Freunden?

| Reflexivpronomen | Beispiel | |
|---|---|---|
| ich | mich | Ich freue mich. |
| du | dich | Du freust dich. |
| er/sie/es | sich | Er freut sich. |
| wir | uns | Wir freuen uns. |
| ihr | euch | Ihr freut euch. |
| sie/Sie | sich | Sie freuen sich. |
Tip
The sich in the dictionary (sich treffen) is a placeholder — swap it for mich, dich, uns… to match the subject.
