How the Goethe exam works
The Goethe-Zertifikat A2 has four parts — Lesen, Hören, Schreiben, Sprechen — each worth 25 points, 100 in total. You must take all four parts. To pass (bestanden) you need at least 45 of 75 in the three written parts together and at least 15 of 25 in Sprechen, which makes 60 of 100 or more. Knowing the format means no surprises and no wasted minutes on exam day.
